Terms
Last updated October 2026
The short version: you design it, we make it carefully, and we fix it if something goes wrong in transit.
Orders and prices
Prices are in the currency of where the order ships (Canadian dollars, US dollars, pounds, euros, Swedish kronor, Danish kroner, Norwegian kroner, Swiss francs, Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars or Japanese yen; US dollars for the rest of the world) and set at checkout. Every order ships duty-paid: we pay the import duty, import VAT or sales tax and the carrier's fees, so the total at checkout is all you pay. Your order is confirmed once payment goes through and you get a confirmation email. If we can't make your model (for example the area has no map data), we'll tell you and refund you in full.
The map data
Models are built from OpenStreetMap as it was when you ordered. It's maintained by volunteers, so it can be missing a recent building or include small errors. Check the preview before ordering; reply to your order email before printing if something looks wrong and we'll fix what we can.
What you're buying
A decorative model, not a survey or a precise record. Heights are based on map data and typical building sizes when the data has none. It isn't a toy and isn't for children under 3; small parts can break off.
Shipping, damage and returns
See Shipping and returns.
Gift cards
- A gift card is worth the amount paid and can be used once, in one order, at checkout.
- It doesn't expire and has no fees.
- If the order costs less than the card, the rest isn't kept as a balance, so choose the card for the size you have in mind.
- It can't be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires.
- If a gift card is refunded, its code stops working.
- The code is emailed to the buyer and shown on their order page, which they can open again from the link in their receipt.
Your text
You're responsible for plaque and gift-note text. We may refuse text that's hateful or uses someone else's trademark without permission.
Our responsibility
We make every model with care, and we put things right as these terms and our shipping and returns policy say. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it (for a gift card, what was paid for the card), and we aren't responsible for indirect losses.
Your consumer rights aren't limited by any of this. Wherever you live, you keep the rights your local law gives you that can't be signed away.
Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in the US, the UK, Europe, Switzerland or anywhere else we ship, you also keep the protections of your own country's consumer law.
Most problems are fixed with an email, so please write to us first. If we still can't agree, you can take it to the Civil Resolution Tribunal, British Columbia's online tribunal for small claims, or to the courts of British Columbia. If you live outside Canada, you can also go to the courts where you live, where your law allows it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Your order follows the terms on this page on the day you placed it, and a change never takes value off a gift card that's already been bought.
